Spent Tuesday and Wednesday in London for work. Having left booking a hotel until the last minute, I ended up staying at the Wilde Aparthotel (51.50984° N, 0.12230° W), just off the Strand and right by the Adelphi Theatre and the very grand, art-deco style Adelphi building.

The room itself was a basement room with no windows, which sounds on the face of it a little depressing. But it was very modern and the lighting and ambience made up for it. The room itself was small and designed so that every part of the space was functional. I actually quite liked it and much preferred it to staying in a tattered and tired room such as those offered by Travelodge and Premier Inn.

Since the office is located around St. Paul's Cathedral, I got to walk alongside the river from the hotel into work which was nice. Usually I'd default to the tube without even thinking whether it was a walkable distance.
